In September 2017, THAI first launched Boeing 787-9 to Washington D.C. In Taipei route, they use their second Being 787-9 aircraft in 1st December 2017.
The Boeing 787-9 aircraft use the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines. This advanced engine is used to reduce 20% of fuel consumption which will help to reduce 20% emission. The aircraft has been bought from the Boeing Commercial Airplanes. The interior design is based on Thai concept. There are 298 seats in this aircraft including 30 Royal Silk class while the rest of 268 seats is for Economy class. The seats of Royal Silk class can be turned into a long bed with a 180-degree position. The seats are arranged in a 1-2-1 abreast configuration. The arrangement of the seats of Royal Silk class focuses on the privacy of the passengers. The Economy class seats are arranged in a 3-3-3 abreast configuration. The aircraft use the Panasonic eX3 system for all passengers with 16 inches monitor for Royal Silk class and 11 inches monitor for Economy class passengers with screen-swipe features of the monitors. The aircraft use the facility for In-Flight Connectivity (IFC) with high-speed Wi-Fi.
THAI airlines offer 20 flights for a week to Taipei route. The flight TG622 flies from Bangkok to Taipei whereas flight TG633 flies from Taipei to Bangkok. The passengers of this Boeing will get exceptional onboard experience with the latest technology and the largest window features.
